Luxembourg's culinary elite embarks on a knowledge-exchange mission to the UAE this week, as Gault&Millau orchestrates an exclusive porcelain discovery tour for eight award-winning chefs.

Eight of Luxembourg's most acclaimed chefs will depart for the United Arab Emirates on 20 April for a four-day immersive experience, organised by Gault&Millau Luxembourg and its partner RAK Porcelaine Europe. The trip promises unique access to porcelain manufacturing facilities and curated surprises throughout the itinerary.

The selected participants, all past recipients of Gault&Millau's 'Chef of the Year' distinction since 2015, include Cyril Molard (Ma Langue Sourit), Louis Linster (Restaurant Lea Linster), René Mathieu (Fields, formerly La Distillerie), François Jagut (Les Roses), Roberto Fani (FANI), Ryodo Kajiwara (Ryodo), Clovis Degrave (Grünewald Chef's Table, the sole "Young Chef" honoree), and Ilario Mosconi (Mosconi).

"For the chefs, this trip represents an opportunity to join forces, to exchange ideas, to learn, to take a break from the daily routine, to talk to each other, to create links and, ultimately, to stimulate competition, inspiration, and creativity", explained Laurent Fery, the director of Gault&Millau Luxembourg, adding, "alone we go faster, together we go further!"

While most itinerary details remain confidential, the chefs will enjoy exclusive access to normally restricted facilities, accompanied by Andy Cuthbert, President of Worldchefs, and the management of RAK Porcelaine Europe. The trip's confirmed highlight is a tour of RAK's 100,000 m² manufacturing complex.
