American car license plates, Route 66 road signs and lots of vintage Coca-Cola and Motor Oil ads: One of Luxembourg's most iconic American burger joints, Lou's Diner, is set to close its doors in 2025.
The cash-only hamburger restaurant posted on Facebook on 13 November that "Lou's Diner will close her doors permanently in August of 2025".
Despite the remote location of the fast-food joint on the N14 between Wecker and Junglinster, it is one of the Grand Duchy's most famous addresses for American-style burgers and french fries.
Fans of the restaurant were saddened and commented below the post that they must make use of the remaining months to visit their favourite place frequently.
It is unclear why the joint is closing its doors, or whether there will be a future owner.
