Monday, 6 October
Workshop: Beekeeping and Honey Cake
Children aged 10 and above are invited to a hands-on workshop exploring the world of honey, organised in collaboration with local beekeepers. Participants will learn about the journey from hive to jar, comparing industrial and local honey, and discussing themes of health, biodiversity, sustainability, and regional production. The session ends with baking a honey cake using local ingredients.
Tuesday, 7 October
Parents’ Café in Bonnevoie
Parents are invited to an informal afternoon café to discuss children’s education over coffee, tea or hot chocolate in a relaxed setting. The sessions offer a chance to meet other parents, share experiences and tips, and get advice from a specialist from the School of Parents. Children are welcome to attend. The event also takes place at other locations.
Wednesday, 8 October
PEKiP
PEKiP (Prague Parent-Child Program) is an educational concept for mothers and fathers with babies during their first year. Starting from the eighth week until the first birthday, parents can attend weekly 90-minute sessions in small, consistent groups led by a trained PEKiP group leader. The warm room allows babies to move freely without clothes, encouraging physical, cognitive, linguistic and social development through play and repetition.

Mon premier Arraial – Atlântico Festival
A musical and festive workshop centred around the typical lusophone street gatherings where children listen to clarinets from the marching band and parade among brightly coloured floats, while adults sing old classics. Although it’s autumn, the celebration feels and sounds like summer. The event is part of the Atlântico Festival.

Guided tours of the National Library – In English
The National Library (BnL) offers regular guided tours for the public, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the library’s concept, missions and operations. Participants gain access to areas normally closed to visitors, including internal storage facilities, and can view remarkable items from the special collections up close.
Saturday, 11 October
Fairy Tales from Ireland with music and magic
Harald Jüngst, of German and Irish heritage, brings traditional Irish tales to life through stories filled with adventure, humour, imagination and suspense. Audiences will meet giants, stubborn magic boxes and clever heroes, accompanied by bodhrán drumming, handpan melodies, magic tricks and participatory Irish songs.

The Tales of the Dream Machine
This interactive spectacle for children aged four and above combines theatrical improvisation with artificial intelligence to create a collective adventure. Children’s ideas shape each scene, producing unique worlds filled with humour, participation and technological creativity.
