In Luxembourg for their third sold-out show at Rockhal, The Offspring is ready to make the crowd scream and jump.
The band came together in 1984 in Garden Grove, California and independently released their records before signing with Epitaph and later with Columbia Records. Their breakthrough album “SMASH” features hits like “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem.”
Dexter Holland’s socially conscious songwriting as well as the band’s distinctive sound led them to several gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums. The Offspring, who still have a large following, played a significant role in giving the 90s and 2000s its mosh-pitting, crowd-diving signature flavor.
The Offspring is a Today Radio favorite, in fact we even covered their hit song “Self Esteem” in our podcast, Song 2. A podcast by Stephen Steps Lowe that argues that the second song of an LP is the most important one.
Back with our first episode of season 3, we are kicking things off with the enormous smash (sorry) hit from The Offspring… Self Esteem.
