The sun is set to shine down on Luxembourg this spring weekend from May 22 to May 24, and the 11th editition of Koll an Aktioun may just be the perfect way to go, with its wide range of musical offerings that will certainly tickle anyone's fancy.

Holding the belief that festival time is meant for tuning in and logging off, Kollibri asbl, the organisation behind the festival, has decided to step away from social media and encourages attendees to do the same and place music, community and shared experiences once again at the heart of festival culture.

Performing against the atmospheric backdrop of the Slate Museum in Haut-Martelange, the 2026 lineup, made up of Ikan Hyu, bby, Iguana Death Cult, Godsub, Drogher, Aaron Ahrends, Maz, Univerze, and Seed to Tree, offers a captivating blend of musical acts spread across three days, curating everything from local heroes to international acts.

Friday will be filled with loud, amplified rock music, Saturday's tunes are expected to be groovy and induce a boogie or three for festival goers, and Sunday will bring it all home with some chill, indie vibes.

Here's a breakdown of all the acts coming your way:

Noisy Friday (May 22)

For those that love heavier sounds that send heartbeats pumping, Noisy Friday kicks off with Godsub with their self-described groove metal sound that sets the tone for the day.

Carrying the torch from across the border are Metz punks Axxident, a rowdy, reckless four-piece who barely keep an online presence and the kind of band you simply get lost in the mosh to. Other acts for Friday include Luxembourg City crew Drogher, formed in 2021, who blend progressive and groove and engineer a calculated chaos that hits like an industrial wrecking ball.

Closing out the heavier end of the bill are veterans Sleepers' Guilt, who have oscillated between majestic melodic death metal and progressive metal's somber elegance ever since their birth in 2011, and who arrive fresh off festival stages across Europe (including a main stage slot at Slovenia's MetalDays) with a third album due in 2026, a first glimpse of which can be heard on the single Vows To Ashes.

Formed in 2023, Ultra Nothing is a D.I.Y. post-punk trio from Luxembourg. They describe their sound as "melancho-punk", characterized by themes of existential ennui and daily exhaustion. They released their self-titled debut EP in October 2024. Known for their "anti-everything" stance, they focus on raw, high-energy performances.

Party Saturday (May 23)

If you're looking to cut some shapes and have a boogie, Party Saturday has a row of fun and exciting acts stacked up for you.

All the way from East London, alternative band bby have built a cult following on the back of DIY, raw, high-energy gigs that recall the chaos of a classic house-party punk show. They broke onto the scene with their 2024 debut album 1 and the follow-up EP i just want next year to be better, and with a second album currently in the works, they arrive at Koll on a serious upward swing.

Next, Berlin-based producer and Say Yes Dog frontman Aaron Ahrends brings his blend of organic warmth and club-driven grooves to Koll. Fresh off a "Producer of the Year" nomination in 2024, releases on the renowned Kompakt label, and his 2025 debut solo album Control, he is coming to Luxembourg to deliver a masterclass in high-energy sets.

Maz Univerze emerged from a conservative small town, and it took time for his beautiful, gory poetry to escape the drawer and for the pride flag to unfurl among the metal posters. Today, his thoughts erupt in a raw fusion of alternative rap soaked in emo-rock and metal influences, mixing skilful flows with distorted screams and melodic hooks to craft a sound that is as dark as it is hopeful.

Then, 19-year-old emerging singer-songwriter Emily Grogan makes music inspired by the likes of Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and Madison Cunningham. Her journey began in 2021 when, aged just 15, she won the Screaming Fields Song Contest organised by Rocklab. With emotionally charged lyrics and an atmospheric sound, she brings a raw, authentic energy to her performances, and she is currently working on her debut EP with producer Charles Stoltz, scheduled for release in 2026.

Local heroes, and RTLToday Radio favourites, Waffle Killers formed in late 2023 and offer an energetic indie-punk-grunge musical display, quickly rising to become one of Luxembourg's most promising young acts. Known for blending sharp, playful lyricism with raw, high-energy live performances, this year will be their first time on the Koll stage, and going by their debut EP, Cool Things Are Not Cool Anymore (released in 2025), we're sure they'll smash it.

Luxembourgish electro-punk power trio Ultra World will be closing Saturday with a bang. Described as the "furious daughter of Nine Inch Nails and The Prodigy", the band delivers a high-intensity blend of industrial rage and dancefloor energy, a sound defined by heavy electronic beats, raw live instrumentation, and a fierce punk attitude.

Sunday Funday (May 24)

Last, but certainly not least, Sunday Funday brings it all home with some chilled indie vibes, though not without a few pops of the unexpected: unique blends of electric, funky, and jazzy sounds woven throughout the day.

Dutch indie band Iguana Death Cult arrive reflecting on hardship and doubt in the face of a burning world. The result channels their early punk and garage roots, powered by Tobias Opschoor's razor-sharp riffs, Rennert's relentless drumming, Jimmy de Kok's groovy rhythms, and Jeroen Reek's raw, emotive vocals. Formed in 2014, the band has grown from a group of friends into a renowned international act. Their new album Guns Out marks a return to punchy garage rock, pairing that energy with honest self-reflection on escapism, mental strain, and creative renewal.

Swiss female duo Ikan Hyu's explosive live shows have sent shockwaves through the European music scene. The way the pair transmit the energy of a whole band with just two people is as unique as the sound that emerges: glitchy, loud, beautiful, free, profound, and unpredictable. Both frontwomen play up to three instruments at once, with Hannah handling acoustic and electronic drum elements, a kaossilator, and a synth bass, while Anisa works a drum pad and a self-designed electric guitar/keyboard hybrid that lets her play guitar and bass at the same time.

Luxembourg's indie-folk legends Seed to Tree is sure to be putting on a shoegazey, folksy, indie-pop show for attendees on Sunday. Known for their dreamy soundscapes, profound lyricism, and mesmerising melodies, the band emerged in 2012 and began to make waves in 2019 with their praise-worthy sophomore album Proportions, touring Europe and opening for the likes of Beirut and The Temper Trap.

Rising from London's DIY circuit, Man/Woman/Chainsaw are an orchestral art-punk six-piece known for their joyous, raucous live energy. They balance cinematic violin arrangements with sudden, chaotic bursts of noise, a sound they have dubbed "the thin line between pretty and noisy." Following their breakthrough EP Eazy Peazy (2024), the band signed with Fiction Records (home to The Cure) and recently announced their debut album, Cannonball, set for release on August 7, 2026. With over 150 shows already behind them, including sets at Rock Werchter, Latitude, and Fusion, they have become one of the most unpredictable and vital young acts in the UK.

Le Vibe are a well-established presence on the Luxembourg music scene, having played nearly 100 live shows across the country and its neighbours since forming in 2019. Playing a colourful blend of Roots Reggae infused with genres like afrobeat, funk and jazz, the band delivers music with a rich, unique versatility, making them a wholesome addition to the line-up.

Hailing from Leeuwarden in Dutch Friesland, Bad Luck Baby are a five-piece powerhouse and the result of perfectly timed misfortune: vocalist Cath and drummer Ian met after both losing their wallets on a night out, and the rest is history. They embrace the unpredictable nature of life, channelling its ups and downs into powerful, fiery alt-rock. Taking cues from the likes of Paramore, De Staat, and Wolf Alice, the band have crafted a sound that is unmistakably unique.

While a large part of the festival is freely accessible, major concerts do require tickets, so make sure to check out Koll an Aktioun's full offering for this year and how to get tickets on their official website.
