Nobel Prize winner and music icon Bob Dylan is returning to perform, seven years after his last show in Luxembourg. At 82, Dylan continues his so-called Never Ending Tour, which he began in 1988, averaging over 100 performances each year throughout his 60-year career.
So, what has Bob Dylan’s life looked like? Born Robert Allen Zimmerman, Dylan grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota; an iron–mining town. He taught himself piano and guitar at a young age and played in several bands, driven by a deep passion for music. After a year at university in Minnesota, he left to pursue his musical dreams – a decision that clearly paid off. Along with changing the course of music, Bob Dylan has touched the hearts of millions across the world. Many of his 1960s songs, like “The Times They Are a-Changin’”, became anthems for civil rights movements, propelling him to prominence.
At age 82, Dylan is still touring, seeing the world and letting the world see him. With over 50 albums and more than 600 songs to his name, his most iconic tracks include “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” and “Make You Feel My Love.” His songs have been covered countless times by major artists such as Guns N’ Roses, Stevie Wonder, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele, and Jimi Hendrix.
Bob Dylan’s “Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour”, which has been ongoing since 2021, continues throughout the Autumn of 2024 and will make stops in Europe this fall, including Luxembourg!
Important to note is that the concert is a “phone free show”, prohibiting anyone from even having their phone on them throughout the show. Yondr, the phone pouch company, will be helping you securely lock away your phone. The belief is that it will create a more vivid experience for everyone.
Don’t miss the chance to see one of the greatest musicians of all time live at the Rockhal on 28 October 2024.
