Today Radio is giving you the chance to catch Dublin’s rising indie-pop quartet, Big Sleep, live at de Gudde Wellen on 27 November. Known for their infectious guitar bops and soulful alternative rock sound, Big Sleep are the kind of band that fans of Briston Maroney, Alvvays, Spacey Jane, and Big Thief won’t want to miss.
The Irish-Italian/Spanish outfit first came together at school, with other members joining later through Dublin’s vibrant live music scene. With influences ranging from Big Thief to Jamiroquai, and The Cure, their music blends indie-pop, alternative rock, and soul into a sound that’s catchy and fun but also packs a punch.
2023 saw the release of their latest EP, Isn’t That Sweet, featuring singles like Easy, Maccy D’s, All Of The Pretty Things, and Shivering. The EP has already earned strong radio support, and the band is set to drop their second EP soon, produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Just Mustard, CHALK).
