These New Puritans play Rotondes on Saturday 19 October. It’s their first Luxembourg show in years and lands just as they release 'Crooked Wing'; an album that’s as sharp and strange as anything they’ve done. Doors open at 19:00.

Jack and George Barnett have never made easy music. Raised in Southend, the twin brothers started making sounds together as kids, first on karaoke mics and cheap four-tracks, later pulling apart Aphex Twin tracks just to see how they worked. Since then, they’ve built a cult following with a catalogue that folds together post-punk, classical, industrial and electronic music. The reference points might be Talk Talk or Scott Walker, but TNP always land somewhere else entirely.

'Crooked Wing' doesn’t settle down. It shifts from fragile to punishing in the space of a few bars. It’s not a record that fits anywhere, and that’s the point.
