The genre-defying project helmed by Belgian brothers David and Stephen Dewaele return with All Systems Are Lying, their first studio album in eight years, arriving 17 October via DEEWEE / Because Music.
Over the past two decades, the duo have built a singular creative world encompassing their band, DJ alias 2manydjs, their DEEWEE label, and collaborative ventures like Despacio with James Murphy.
Renowned for pushing sonic boundaries, they’ve become one of the most visionary remix and production teams of the 21st century.
Described by Soulwax as "a rock album made without any electric guitars", the new record was constructed entirely from modular synths, live drums, processed vocals and tape machines. It explores themes of distortion and disinformation in the digital age, blending raw live energy with precise electronic experimentation.
The release is previewed by a double A-side single, the glitch-laced, ominous title track All Systems Are Lying and its euphoric, rhythm-driven counterpart Run Free, that will give die-hard fans a taste of both the album’s conceptual bite and club-ready power.
Both were given an early spin on our dedicated new music show, cannily titled NEW NOISE..be sure to catch that show daily at 10am.
Following a packed 2024 of live shows, Soulwax have already lit up stages at Kappa Futur and Rock Werchter, teasing new material along the way.
Their high-voltage summer run continues with upcoming dates at Junction 2 (London, 27 July) and Lokerse Feesten (Belgium, 2 August), where their three-drummer live setup promises more blistering performances.
