Lose yourself in the cosmic soundscapes of Hermanos Gutiérrez when the Ecuadorian-Swiss brothers bring their hypnotic instrumental journey to Rockhal on 4 July.
Hermanos Gutiérrez was formed in Zurich in 2015 by brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez. Inspired by their Ecuadorian heritage and the desert blues of artists like Ennio Morricone and Ry Cooder, the duo blend soulful Latin guitar with elements of surf rock, spaghetti western soundtracks, and ambient textures. Alejandro plays guitar and lap steel, while Estevan adds guitar and percussion, creating an intimate but cinematic sound that feels both nostalgic and timeless.
Their fifth album El Bueno y el Malo, released by Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound label in 2022, expanded their international following with its dusty, sun-soaked melodies and evocative storytelling all without a single word sung. Now, with their latest album Sonido Cósmico, they are leaving the desert for the cosmos, crafting deep, spiritual soundscapes that shimmer with a hallucinogenic energy Rolling Stone calls otherworldly. Each live performance is an immersive trip, where every note feels like a conversation between two brothers who know exactly how to pull you into their world.
