Born and raised in Walsall in the West Midlands, Jorja Smith has been writing songs since she was just 11 years old. Since her breakout single Blue Lights, Jorja has redefined modern soul with a sound that blends smooth R&B, smoky jazz, and the pulse of UK bass music, all carried by her effortlessly expressive voice. She has won multiple BRIT Awards, including Best British Female Artist, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Her latest album Falling or Flying is her most daring yet, mixing sensual grooves with raw vulnerability and earning her another BRIT nomination for Best R&B Act in 2024.
