Muse kicked off their 2025 European tour in electrifying fashion on 12 June with the live debut of a brand-new track called Unravelling.

Performing at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki, the band opened the show with the previously unheard song, thrilling fans with its first-ever public performance.

In the lead-up to the gig, Muse had been teasing Unravelling on social media, including a cryptic video snippet posted just a day prior with the caption "Back at it", sparking speculation that a full music video could drop soon.

Musically, Unravelling blends elements from across Muse’s sonic universe. It opens with sleek, synth-driven textures reminiscent of The 2nd Law and Simulation Theory, before erupting into the thunderous, space-rock guitar work that harks back to Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, and Drones.

Fans of heavier Muse will be in rapture and this one is seemingly destined to be huge on the live front..

The rest of the set saw Matt Bellamy and the band deliver a career-spanning performance, mixing fan favourites and deep cuts alike. Songs from 2022's Will of the People, including Compliance and Won't Stand Down, sat comfortably alongside early classics like Plug In Baby from 2001's Origin of Symmetry.
