With over 150 events per year, ranging from live concerts to pub quizzes, as well as various performances and DJ nights, De Gudde Wëllen has become an unmissable landmark in Luxembourg’s alternative cultural scene.

Nestled in the narrow Rue du Saint Esprit, in the heart of Luxembourg’s old town, De Gudde Wëllen is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Since its opening in 2014, this emblematic venue for alternative culture and clubbing has captivated a diverse audience with its eclectic programming and unique atmosphere.

Among its highlights over the past decade are the organisation of major festivals such as the Usina Festival and unique, high-energy events like the now-legendary Waiters' Hill Race.

Today Radio's Sam Steen was joined by Nicole Olenskaia from De Gudde Wëllen to chat about the venue's history and the upcoming celebration on 7 December with a fun programme.

"It's amazing to see the traces and journey, with everything we've been through. Compared to other places which are celebrating their birthday this year I think we're still a baby," says Nicole, who started 8 years ago when the venue turned two.
