The partial lockdown has forced theatres and culture houses to shut their doors once more, initiating another frustrating and difficult period for all involved.

Cultural institutions in Luxembourg have had to cope with new sanitary measures are evolving regulations for the past months, but most of the programming has been postponed or cancelled - especially now that doors are closed until 15 December.

The partial lockdown causes frustration amongst theatres, cinemas and culture houses. Museums and galleries can remain open for the reason that people are moving through. The air is out, says Claude Mangen of the Theatre Federation. He believes there people are currently working without any perspective.

Video report in Luxembourgish:

At the Rotondes in Bonnevoie there is currently an exhibition of Leap in place that continues to welcome the public. Here, where for years there has been a Christmas programme for the young and old alike, organisers are unsure what the outlook will be post 15 December. Bookings will then have to be rushed and last-minute.

It has become a standard process: new planning, cancelling, postponing. 2020 has been a tough year for the cultural sector.
