Her current tour brought the "99 Red Balloons" singer, who has been in the music business for four decades, back to the Rockhal on Tuesday evening.
"Hi, I'm back! It almost feels a bit like home here!", Nena told a crowd of cheering fans at her Rockhal concert on Tuesday evening.
The last time the German singer graced a Luxembourg stage was only two years ago.
Nena, whose real name is Gabriele Kerner, performed 25 songs in total, supported by her band - and even her children at one point. Her daughter Larissa, who is also a judge on the German version of the hit music casting show "The Voice Kids", sang backing vocals during last night's concert.
Nena's son Saskias demonstrated that he inherited his mother's musical talent when he gave a solo rendition of the song "Weisses Schiff".
During Tuesday's two hour long concert, Nena gave full fan service by playing most of her 80s punk-rock classics.
In the 80s, Nena was one of the most prominent faces - and voices - in the "Neue Deutsche Welle" musical movement and even achieved international acclaim for her peace-song "99 Red Balloons".
If you could not be there on Tuesday evening or are feeling slightly nostalgic, treat your ears to a bit of Nena:
