Article 1: Organization

The POSTLAF Race is organized and administered by the non-profit Association POST Luxembourg whose registered office is at BP3040 L-1030 Luxembourg

Article 2: POSTLAF Race/Lalux Kids Run

POSTLAF is a foot race of competitive nature, over a course measuring 10 kilometers (macadamized and partially closed for vehicles), which is open to any person who is medically fit and at least 15 years old on the day of the race.

Lalux-Post4Kids Run are two foot race courses of non-competitive nature, measuring 500m and 1.000m for children born from 2010 to 2020. The Event is organized by the POST Luxembourg Association. It will take place on March 9th 2025, in the enclosed area around the facilities of POST Technologies, located at 2nd, Emile Bian Road, Z.I. Cloche d’Or Luxembourg-Gasperich

The participation of children in the Lalux-Post4Kids Run is under the full responsibility of the parents: no childcare service will be provided in the end of the two races. The parents or another responsible person must pick up their children straight after the finish at 500 and 1000m.

POST Luxembourg Association holds all the rights relevant to POSTLAF Race and Lalux Kids Run in every area and especially all intellectual property rights.

Article 3: The Race

The start/finish line of the Event is located at the main entrance of the „Minerais” building of POST Technologies, located at Emile Bian Road in Luxembourg-Gasperich. The course is 10 kilometers long. The racing time of the participants in the POSTLAF Race shall be recorded (Champion-Chip Timing). The racing time of the participants in the Lalux Post4Kids Run shall not be recorded.

The recording of the racing time of the participants in the POSTLAF Race shall be limited to : 2 hours after the official start.

The Program of the event :

  • Friday 7th March 2025 from 16h00-20h00 : Runner's identification numbers pickup/on-site registration
  • Saturday 8th March 2025 from 10h00-18h00 : Runner's identification numbers pickup/on-site registration
  • Sunday 9th March 2025 from 8h00 - 9h30 : On-site registration and Runner's identification numbers pickup
  • Sunday 9th March 2025 around 09h00 : Official start of the Lalux-Post4Kids Run 500m and 1000m
  • Sunday 9th March 2025 at 10h00 : Official start of the POSTLAF Race
  • Sunday 9th March 2025 around 12h15 : Prizes ceremony

Article 4: Conditions of PARTICIPATION

This is a public event and it is open to any person who is medically able to participate on the day of the race.

Article 5: Registration

The closing date for on-line registrations is February 25, 2024 at 00h00. The participants must register for the Race via the on-line registration platform which is available on the website of the event www.postlaf.lu

The Registration fee is :

  • Till February 21, 2025 at 00h00 : 25.- €
  • Friday, march 7th, 2025 from 16h00-20h00 : 29.- €
  • Saturday, march 8th, 2025 from 10h00-18h00 : 31.- €
  • At the day of the event (before 09H30) : 34.- €

« Champion-Chip » Timing: Integrated in Runner's identification number

  • A registration is considered as completed only after :
    • the registration fee has been paid in full
    • the participant has agreed to the present Rules of Procedure
  • Only the participants who have completed an appropriate registration fully and truthfully will receive their runner's identification numbers.

  • The registration for the event includes :
    • the right to participate in a secured race
    • access to the Exhibitor’s village and catering
    • refreshments at mi-way and after the finishing line
    • entertaining activities in the village and during the race.

Only Participants with a personal runner's identification number will be allowed to participate in the race. The Organization reserves its right to exclude from participation in the Event any participant who doesn’t have a personal identification number even if he/she accompanies a regularly registered participant. This shall also apply to pets and wheeled vehicles, unless special permission is granted. The racer’s identification number is strictly prohibited from swapping, selling or transferring, at any time and for whatever reason. Any participant who is found to be in breach of this Condition will be hold as responsible for any damagesuffered or caused by the person who wore the identification number. The Organization shall not be hold as responsible in this type of situation.

Refunds will be assessedon a case by case basis, upon request from the Organization. Refund request submitted to the Organization less than 10 days before the event shall be admissible only if they are accompanied by a medical certificate certifying the impossibility to take part in the Race.

Article 6: Runner's identification number

After registration, all participants will receive a confirmation of registration via e-mail (to the extent that a valid e-mail address had been communicated during the registration process). The participants must print and present this email at the day of the Event in order to have access to their runner's identification numbers.

This e-mail shall be used to identify and to give the participants access to their identification numbers. However the Organization may refuse to deliver a runner's identification number to any participant whose registration application is not completed.

The participants must pick up their personal runner's identification numbers in the village located in the building of POST Technologies 2, at 3rd Emile Bian Road in Luxembourg-Gasperich (see schedule in Article 3), upon presentation of the registration confirmation e-mail. No personal identification numbers will be sent by regular post.

The runner’s identification number must be completely visible during the race.

Article 7: Prizes and Donations

  • Cash prizes for the first 3 winners (M & F)
  • Prizes for the winners by age categories (M & F)
  • A free t-shirt, within the limits of available stocks and sizes

Each participant agrees by registering to be associated and/or participate to various actions under this charity sporting event which are free of charge and without obligation of purchase. The acceptance of the named participant will be considered binding at the start of the race. Donations will be collected under the responsibility of CARITAS Luxembourg. All donations raised from the event will be sent to charity through the efforts of CARITAS Luxembourg. The Organization of the POSTLAF Race declines any responsibility in the event of litigation related to the donations collect.

A free tombola is organised for the runners still present after the prize-giving to the winners. The tombola ticket consisting of the race number must be deposited in a ballot box when announced by the organiser. For each draw, the corresponding gift will be given only to the runner who has run under the number presented, upon presentation of the race number and the corresponding gift number.

Article 8: Insurance and responsibilities

In accordance with the Law, the Organizationhas a third party liability insurance covering all the financial consequences of civil liability incurred by the Organization, by its servants and by the participants in conformity with the rules of organization of outdoor mass sport events in public areas.

It’s the responsibility of each Participant to have an adequate personal insurance cover against any damages he may eventually suffer as a result of an injury or illness, caused by his participation in the Event. By accepting the conditions of registration, each participant assumes the full and entire responsibility for any accident that could occur on his way to or from the event or during the event itself.

Each participant assumes all risks which may arise in consequence of his participation in the Event including: risk of damages to other participants, risks related to the weather conditions, risks related to the road traffic (non-exhaustive list).

Each participant will receive his personal runner’sidentification number if and only if he had read and taken note of the present rules of procedure and more specifically if he had agreed with the following :

  • Be responsible for his health
  • Have an adequate insurance cover for personal injury
  • Be responsible for his personal belongings.

This Event is reserved for fully registered participants. Any person, who doesn’t have a runner’s identification number, shall not be allowed to participate in the race and shall not be covered by any insurance.

Article 9: Participants’ Safety

The Organization is responsible for the implementation of a safety plan, involving volunteers and public services and in accordance with the conditions set out by the Police, the National Administration and the City of Luxembourg. The Organization also agrees to use a civil defense organization’s servicesto provide medical assistance in accordance with the plan approved by the relevant authorities.

Article 10: Portrait rights and Personal data

By taking part in the event, every participant grants to the Organization (or to any authorized third parties) full and irrevocable permission to use, reproduce or display his name, image, voice and performance, recorded during the POSTLAF Race. These recorded materials could be used, directly or indirectly, under any form, all over the world, by using every known and unknown channel, during the whole term of the protection granted to their use and during any eventual extension of the protection which would be bring by law. In accordance with the law, every participant has the right to access and rectify any personal information concerning him. The collected personal information will be used for the needs of the organization and administration of the Event only.

Article 11: Participants’ Obligations

By submitting his registration, every Participant declares have acknowledged and accepted the present Rules of procedure and agrees to fulfill the following obligations :

  • To respect the rules of good conduct and behavior towards the other participants, volunteers and towards the Organization ofthe event
  • To respect the environmental code and to adopta responsible behavior of preserving the environment by using clean transport modes and not to throw away any waste in a place not intended for that purpose
  • To respect the traffic regulations in case of use of public roads
  • To adhere to all instructions given by the Organization and the officials of the Event
  • To be aware of and responsible for his health and not to prosecute the Organization for any damages he could suffer as a result of a medical problem
  • To be aware of the fact that the participation in the race requires good physical and mental health and that a participant can’t registerfor the event unless he’s adequately trained and in good health
  • To be aware of the fact the every Participant is responsible for his personal belongings and that the Organization cannot be held liable for damages the Participant could suffer as a result of steal, loss or deterioration of personal objects and belongings
