Marie Schreiber claimed her fourth consecutive national cyclocross title in Diekirch on Sunday, once again dominating the elite women’s race at the national championships.

Riding for SD Worx-Protime, she comfortably beat her only competitor, Nina Berton. Maïté Barthels was registered but did not start. In the U23 category, Layla Barthels, Schreiber’s sister, secured victory ahead of Liv Wenzel.

In the elite men’s race, Loïc Bettendorf lived up to his role as favourite, winning ahead of Raphael Kockelmann and Ken Conter, who announced his retirement. Bettendorf also successfully defended his 2025 title. In the men’s U23 race, Mil Morang claimed the championship ahead of Lennox Papi and Rick Meylender.

The men’s masters category began at 11am. Pol Weisgerber won the title after taking the sprint ahead of Tommy Arnoldy and Claude Wolter. Weisgerber and Arnoldy led for much of the race before Wolter bridged across after halfway, but Weisgerber proved strongest in the sprint to cap a dominant season. In the women’s masters race, Suzy Godart claimed the title as the sole starter.

In the junior men’s race, Ben Fleming was crowned national champion, rounding off a strong season. He finished ahead of Dawson Pereira Gehlen and Ben Koenig after gaps opened up in the second half of the race. Twelve riders took part. In the junior women’s race, June Nothum took the title.

In the debutants category, which featured 15 riders, Yannis Elsen won ahead of Pol Moog and Leo-Marc Lanners. Elsen and Moog were closely matched until Moog lost time due to a technical issue. In the women’s debutants race, Sarah Koenig won comfortably ahead of Chiara Christen and Enola Walch.
