In light of the 25th edition of the 'Dräi-Länner-Trail', the national long-distance championship was incorporated in the annual walking and running event in Weiswampach.

The special edition therefore demanded additional effort from the organisers, who prepared walking and running routes of 49, 28, 17, and 11 kilometres.

Among the 59 runners who set off on the long-distance course (49 kilometres), only 13 men and 2 women were eligible for national championship titles. Luca Clees was named champion in the men’s category, successfully defending his title against Toni Veigas and Hakan Nilsson. In the women’s category, Shefi Xhaferaj claimed her second consecutive title, finishing ahead of Sonny Eschette.

This year’s trail saw record participation, with 540 runners registering across five courses.
