It was a great day out for all on Sunday at Cessange Boy Konen, where a plethora of diverse teams battled it out to win the coveted Kick Cancer into Touch trophy and more importantly raise money for the Omega 90 charity!
Over 100 touch rugby enthusiasts, of all ages and sizes, gathered on Sunday in the name of raising awareness and money for the KCIT Cancer Charity, namely Omega 90. The tournament marked the start of the touch season and over 1200€ was raised over the course of the day. Eight very different teams sought the tournament title, and in the end, the KCIT All Stars emerged victorious, but the true winners were the Omega 90 charity and the many smiling faces that enjoyed a great day in the sun!

The rugby union community was well represented as both Rugby Club Luxembourg (now playing at the pinnacle of German rugby) and the newly formed Rugby Club d'Esch – les Furets both fielded teams. In a big leap for the future of Luxembourgish touch rugby, there was a growth stages junior touch team with 9 girls in the squad – displaying how the sport is heading in the right direction by inspiring the next generation. Which is great to see as Touch Luxembourg has high aspirations aiming to make the sport the premier mixed participation sport in Luxembourg.
