Last Thursday, Luxembourg's European Championship dream came to an end in Georgia, as the Red Lions had a goal disallowed and saw their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 dashed as their hosts scored twice.
Tonight's match, hoped by many to be the ultimate step in their qualifying campaign, now constitutes a friendly game against Kazakhstan, who lost their Nations League tie to Greece. For Luxembourg, coming out of one of their most successful campaigns to date, this game represents the chance to perform without pressure for their home crowd.
