The Luxembourg national football team faces yet another setback as Dirk Carlson joins the list of injured players ahead of the crucial Nations League play-off matches aiming for qualification to the European Championship in Germany.

Carlson, who plays for Sankt Pölten, is sidelined due to a torn muscle fibre, adding to the team's injury woes. He joins Daniel Sinani, who is serving a suspension due to a red card, Vincent Thill with a cruciate ligament tear, and Marvin Martins, also sidelined with a fibre tear.

The upcoming semi-finals of the Nations League play-offs against Georgia on 21 March loom large, with the Luxembourg team striving for victory to advance to the final. Should Luc Holtz's side emerge victorious, they will contend for a spot in the European Championship at the Stade de Luxembourg against the winner of the other semi-final, featuring either Greece or Kazakhstan, just five days later.
