Football club Racing Union Luxembourg and City mayor Lydie Polfer have reached an agreement regarding the club's poor infrastructure.

No details were shared about the meeting, but the club's president Karine Reuter said they were "fruitful" and that common ground was found.

A call to protest was placed recently with the threat to close the club down permanently.

The club said that due to the desolate conditions of the field, the risk of injuries were acute, and that the club's building were also in a poor state.

The Luxembourg Football Federation reported "catastrophic conditions" in its inspection report in January. Accordingly, the decision was taken to cancel the complete training sessions on all grounds until the situation would change.

In earlier interviews, the club had said the City was not taking its demands seriously, but that seems to have changed, ahead of a protest march planned for 28 February.
