A charter flight organised to bring Luxembourg football fans to Georgia for the UEFA Euro 2024 play-off semi-final has been cancelled.

Anticipation is building across the Grand Duchy ahead of what could be the most important pair of games in the country's history in March.

But an effort to charter a special flight to Georgia to transport fans of the Red Lions has unfortunately failed.

Around 190 people had registered with the Luxembourgish Football Federation (FLF) for the trip, but only 107 paid.

The federation needed 170 payments to cover the costs. The fans who have already transferred money will get it back.
