The Luxembourgish tennis team led by Captain Gilles Müller was in Bogota, Colombia on Friday and Saturday for the Davis Cup.

After Chris Rodesch and Alex Knaff's simple victory on Friday, Luxembourg took a 2:0 lead against Colombia after the 1st day of the World Group I playoffs. However, on day 2, Luxembourg dropped the ball with a 2:3 defeat against Colombia. This loss leaves the team out of World Group I and Luxembourg will compete in World Group II.

In Saturday's Doubles, Chris Rodesch and Alex Knaff played three sets against their competitors Nicolas Barrientos and Cristian Rodriguez, scoring 3:6, 7:6 and 1:6 respectively.

In Singles, Alex Knaff was defeated by Nicolas Meija in two sets scoring 2:6 and 3:6. Likewise, Chris Rodesch was defeated by Adria Soriano in two sets scoring 3:7 and 6:7 in the final, decisive match.

On Friday, Chris Rodesch triumphed against Nicolas Meija in two sets scoring 7:6 and 6:3. Alex Knaff defeated Adria Soriano in three sets with 6:4, 2:6, and 6:4.

Apart from Alex Knaff and Chris Rodesch, Captain Müller's team also includes Aaron Gil Garcia, Raphael Calzi and Gilles Kremer.
