The Skoda Tour de Luxembourg riders covered 168 kilometres on Friday, from Mertert to Vianden.

Ben Healy secured a solitary victory on the difficult final circuit around Vianden, followed by Marc Hirschi and Dylan Teuns. Healy now leads the race overall.  The best Luxembourger was Arthur Kluckers, who came in 23rd after a strong performance on Friday. He now sits in 20th position in the overall ranking.

Ireland's Healy attacked from the peloton some 30 kilometres from the finish line at Vianden Castle, quickly gaining ground on Bastien Tronchon and eventually overtaking the Frenchman with 18 kilometres to go. Hirschi and Teuns separated from the pack with 14 kilometres left, but could not catch Healy, who beat the second and third riders by 15 and 18 seconds respectively.

Luxembourg's Mats Wenzel once again collected points in the individual climber race and still leads the ranking for this jersey.
