
On Monday afternoon, the Luxembourg City Mayor acknowledged the uncertainty around the new stadium in her response to councilwoman Claudie Reyland (The Greens).
Mayor Polfer conveyed that an international football encounter organised by Uefa will take place on 6 June. Three weeks ahead of this game, a test match needs to be played. Although officials are currently aiming to meet this deadline, there is no guarantee that it can be done, she further underlined.
Currently, the IT network is not fully set up yet, which means that important security links between heating, cash registers, and cameras are not operative. Delays have occurred because the main company in charge of the network became bankrupt over the course of the pandemic and needed to be replaced.
