Friday saw the 32nd match day for Ligue 2 in France, with Metz pushing through to beat Châteauroux 2-1. Diallo scored two penalties for Metz, in the 31st and 40th minutes of the game. The visitors clawed one back with Diarra’s goal in the 88th minute, but Metz came away victorious with 3 points. Laurent Jans was on the bench for the game.

RTL 5minutes: Les Grenats y sont presque Metz are currently leading the league table, 6 points clear of Stade Brest. Following Friday’s games, Troyes are in third position with ChristopherMartins, as they seek promotion to Ligue 1. They beat Ajaccio 1-0 on Friday with a goal in the 10th minute by Mbeumo; Martins played the full 90 minutes. Troyes expect to keep third place until Monday at least, when Paris FC face Lorient - a win for either team could see them jump into third.

In France’s National league, Vincent Thill played a full game for Pau as they beat Laval 2-1.

And in the Premier League Championship, Middlesbrough Under-23s were victorious over Norwich City with a 3-2 result. Luxembourger Enes Mahmutovic joined the line-up for the win, with goals scored by Ward in the 31st and 56th minutes, and O’Neill in the 32nd minute.
