While large public viewing events have become a modern staple, with thousands gathering in city squares to watch football matches on giant screens, one pub in Clausen maintains a more traditional approach, especially when it comes to following England and their storied Three Lions.

In this cozy, relaxed setting, football brings people together for conversations and shared excitement.

Ahead of the match, debate among pub regulars centred on the much-anticipated duel between two of the world's leading strikers.

England's Harry Kane entered the game with six goals to his name - just one behind Norway's Erling Haaland. Still, as football fans in Clausen agreed, World Cup quarter-finals are never decided by a single player alone.

The match itself was rather dramatic. Norway's Schjelderup stunned fans with a spectacular goal, while Jude Bellingham restored hope for England by equalising in stoppage time at the end of the first half.

The tension only grew in the second half, with both teams battling for control. It was Bellingham again who sealed the result, scoring the decisive 2-1 goal in extra time. The Real Madrid midfielder was deservedly named man of the match.

England, managed by Thomas Tuchel, will now face Argentina in the semi-finals next Wednesday. The dream of a second World Cup title after their 1966 triumph remains alive for England and their supporters.
