RTL Today

The weather in recent days has been pretty warm – and the rising temperatures do not bode well for the future!

Do you suffer from the heat – not just outside but also inside your home?

Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to help with the outside temperature – but we do have solutions to keep your home cool and fresh.

A cool home during a heatwave is so important for your daily comfort – and it doesn’t just affect your general well-being, it’s also a factor in your physical health.

How can you hope to have a good night’s sleep – a restorative, deep sleep –, and how can you enjoy being at home when you’re just feeling hot and sticky all the time?

Bamolux, certified experts in passive housing, can offer various types of roof insulation – because the first thing to do to improve the comfort of your home is to make sure you have effective roof insulation.

Effective, quality roof insulation means:

  • Optimal thermal comfort in both summer and winter!
  • A dramatic reduction in energy costs, with a reduction of +/-30% in heating energy!
  • At the same time you will be doing your bit for the planet...
    • Fewer harmful emissions

We have decided to zoom in on two of our leading products that are highly effective and offer comparable thermal benefits.

  • Semi-rigid wood fibre insulation boards
  • Blow-in cellulose insulation

Wood fibre is extremely effective and can be used in virtually all homes.

Cellulose insulation is bio-based and is produced in Ciney, a town in Belgium less than 150km from Luxembourg City – so it is a “local” product.

Wood fibre boards:

These semi-rigid insulation boards made of wood fibre have remarkable insulating properties. They reduce heating bills, and therefore CO2 emissions. They also store carbon through photosynthesis: trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air. They store the carbon (C) and release the oxygen (O2) into the atmosphere. These boards are carbon negative – they store more CO2 than they emit during manufacture.

Our boards are made of fibre from resinous wood. This is a natural product, with no additives that might represent a health risk – as proven by the A+ rating, which guarantees indoor air quality. Good humidity management is also crucial for indoor comfort. This insulation is water vapour open, protecting the living environment from problems related to condensation and humidity.

An environmentally friendly insulation solution: cellulose insulation

In line with its new strategic guidelines focused on sustainable development, Bamolux can improve your insulation with blown cellulose, a natural and environmentally friendly insulating material that offers the best price-performance ratio for insulating unused attic space, roof underlayment, floors and lofts.

Of all the environmentally friendly insulation materials out there, cellulose is a great option. It is made from recycled materials and is suitable for multiple insulation needs, while complying with performance, safety, environmental and cost criteria.

Cellulose insulation can fill spaces completely, even corners and around ductwork.

And when installed correctly, the elasticity of the decompressed paper fibres prevents compaction. This is why cellulose insulation can only be blown in by approved technicians, like those we have at Bamolux. The elasticity and structure of cellulose mean that it behaves like solid wood in the event of a fire, giving it a high fire safety rating and also repelling insects and rodents.

WHAT IS CELLULOSE INSULATION?

Cellulose insulation is an environmentally friendly product made from unsold newspapers and residues from sawmills and paper mills. It is crushed, defibrated and shredded to obtain cellulose flakes. These are then treated to make them extremely fire and mould resistant and rodent repellent.

ENVIRONMENT FIRST!

Made of natural and recycled products, blow-in cellulose insulation is the solution that requires the least grey energy, placing it at the top of the leaderboard of environmentally friendly insulation solutions currently available on the market.

Cellulose insulation is also bio-based and is produced in Ciney, a town in Belgium less than 150km from Luxembourg City – so it is a “local” product.

We hope that you will soon become one of our many satisfied customers.
