Deep summer Luxembourg boasts a packed cultural calendar. Or at least until the vacation season hits.
To counteract this lull, Rotondes throw their yearly Congés Annulés festival, bringing a wide variety of indie musical acts to Luxembourg in late July and throughout much of August.
Those in the know know they can look forward to the likes of The Bats (31 July), Frankie and the Witch Fingers (1 August), Westside Cowboy (3 August), Deafheaven (4 August), Deadletter (6 August), and so much more.
Rotondes are also in the habit of throwing an opening night for Congés Annulés featuring multiple live shows, Luxembourgish acts, and DJ sets until well into the evening.
This year is no different. To programme for the official Congés Annulés Opening Night on 24 July features the crunchy, Black Country-based electro-post-punk outfit GANS, krautrock-inspired Dadaist Chris Imler, local art-punk legends Sheebaba, and funky sets by DJ So Raw.

If you would like to celebrate the launch of this year's Congés Annulés, make sure to bring your sunnies, sun cream, and most obscure band shirt.
