Adult DVD, formed in Leeds in 2021, excel in a sort of dingy, dark electro-punk sound that's equal parts catchy and grungy. Blending electronic music, rock, indie, and punk sounds, it's the sonic equivalent of queuing outside of a dodgy club on a rainy night in northern England. In a good way.
The group was started by vocalist Harry Hanson and synth-player Greg Lonsdale, but soon expanded to include Danny Blackburn (guitar/synth), Jake Williams (synth), Jonathan Newell (drums), and George Manson (bass).
From humble beginnings on Bandcamp, they released their debut EP Fountain of Youth in 2023, followed by their second, Next Day Shipping, in 2024. But 2025 was their real annus mirabilis, garnering rave reviews for their rave-inducing live shows.
They've become something of a sensation following live performances in Osaka and Tokyo in 2026, earning them further hype in 2026. Big in Japan? A pretty big flex.
With their debut self-titled LP on the way (due 25 September, 2026), their appearance at Rotondes marks another chance for Luxembourgish audiences to catch an up-and-coming band before their breakthrough moment.
Expect an evening of sweaty, electro-dance-post-punk-y energy comparable to the energy brought by GANS, who played at Congés Annulés' Opening Night on Friday, 24 July.
