The Maine formed in Tempe, Arizona in 2007, while several members were still in high school. Frontman John O'Callaghan joined shortly afterwards, despite having no previous experience as a vocalist, and the band released their first music before the year was out.
Their debut album, Can't Stop Won't Stop, arrived in 2008 and helped establish The Maine as part of a booming American pop-punk scene. Tours alongside the likes of Good Charlotte, Boys Like Girls, All Time Low and Mayday Parade followed, while songs including Everything I Ask For and Into Your Arms became early fan favourites. What followed has been a remarkably consistent run. Rather than disappearing with the pop-punk wave that first carried them, The Maine have continued to release records, tour extensively and gradually broaden their sound through alternative rock, pop rock and indie influences.
Albums including Pioneer, Forever Halloween, American Candy and Lovely Little Lonely have each marked different stages in that evolution, while the same five-man line-up of O'Callaghan, Kennedy Brock, Jared Monaco, Garrett Nickelsen and Pat Kirch has remained together for years.
The Luxembourg show comes just a few months after the release of the band's tenth studio album, Joy Next Door.
Released in April 2026, the record opened another chapter for a band now approaching its 20th anniversary. It was introduced by Die to Fall, followed by Quiet Part Loud and Palms.
The new material joins a catalogue stretching all the way back to Can't Stop Won't Stop, with The Maine earning an especially loyal following through almost constant touring.
Their current run brings them to Luxembourg on Sunday, September 20th, when they'll take over the intimate surroundings of den Atelier.

We've got a pair of tickets to give away to see The Maine live at den Atelier.
