
A man was violently attacked by two unknown individuals on Route d'Arlon in Belair at around 9.10pm on Tuesday. According to initial information, the man was walking in the area between Route d'Arlon and Rue Aloyse Kayser when two unknown individuals attacked him. The victim was dragged onto a grassy area and beaten.
Personal documents were stolen from his backpack, his watch was ripped from his wrist, and his mobile phone was damaged. Police also said he suffered a minor injury to his thigh after being struck with a sharp object.
Following the attack, both suspects fled towards Merl. Police immediately launched a search involving several units and a helicopter, but were unable to locate them. However, officers found and seized a knife, the victim's torn-up documents, and other evidence in a nearby field close to where the attack took place.
After receiving first aid at the scene, the man was taken to hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
