The fast-rising American singer-songwriter plays Rotondes on Tuesday, August 18th as part of this year's Congés Annulés, and RTL Today Radio has tickets to give away.
Tyler Ballgame's music might be new, but there's something immediately familiar about it.
Blending alternative indie-pop, classic rock and Americana, his songs draw inspiration from the great songwriters and performers of the 1960s and '70s, built around strong melodies, big hooks and, above all, an extraordinary voice.
It's a voice that caught the attention of Rough Trade Records, with the label's Geoff Travis and Jeannette Lee offering quite the comparison:

January saw the release of Ballgame's debut album, For the First Time, Again, a collection of 12 songs spanning indie, classic rock and Americana.
At the centre of the record is Ballgame's belief in being present and finding the confidence to be yourself – something that extends beyond his songwriting and into his approach to performing.
In fact, the entire Tyler Ballgame project grew from what he describes as "radical presence in expression": the idea that a concert can offer an opportunity to step outside the distractions of everyday digital life and surrender to a genuinely human experience.
That philosophy has helped Ballgame earn a growing reputation for his live performances, making the intimate surroundings of Rotondes a particularly fitting place to catch him.
