The concert by Swedish heavy metal band Avatar at Rockhal on 21 February has been postponed.

The show, scheduled to start at Saturday evening with supporting bands Witch Club Satan and Alien Weaponry, is part of Rockhal Temple of Metal concert series as well as part of Avatar’s In The Airwaves tour.

In a public statement (also available on Rockhal’s event page), the band writes “that tonight’s show in Amsterdam, as well as the Luxembourg show, have been postponed due to Johanne’s sudden illness. He’s taking proper precautions to get better as soon as possible to continue the rest of the tour. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Please hold on to your tickets as we will be rescheduling the shows for a later date. More news coming ASAP.”

No new date has been announced as of yet, but ticket holders should keep an eye on the event page linked above, as well as Avatar’s social media pages.
