Nothing short of a global icon, Lenny Kravitzis not only known not only for his music. With impeccable style and taste, he has become a renowned household name in pop culture and music history – not least in Luxembourg, where he will be performing at Luxexpo Open-Air on Wednesday, 8 July.
Lenny Kravitz is, among other things, an American singer, musician, and actor. His music is known for fusing rock elements with funk and soul, honouring a vintage feel with a modern twist.
But Kravitz is also an emblem of the bohemian rockstar style – expressed through his music and fashion – while also venturing into design with his company Kravitz Design.
Determined to pursue a music career since the age of five, it was at the age of 10 that he got introduced to rock music. During his childhood in Los Angeles, Kravitz was influenced by a range of music legends such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, and Bob Marley.
His debut album Let Love Rule was released in 1989, making him 25 at the time. He quickly found immense success both inside and outside of the US. But it was Europe in particular that was quick to recognize his talents.
Throughout his career, Kravitz has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, and consecutively won the Grammy award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance from 1999 to 2002.
He was also honored as music icon of the year at the 2024 People's Choice Awards, was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2024, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that same year. There is even a street named after the rock legend in France: Rue Lenny Kravitz in Saint-Jean-d'Heurs in France.

This makes it even more special that his 2026 tour titled Lenny Kravitz Live 2026 is held exclusively in Europe. On 8 July, Lenny Kravitz is set to perform in Luxembourg City for the annual Open-Air show at Luxexpo.
The setlist for the concert includes hit songs such as It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over, Fly Away, or Are You Gonna Go My Way, but also newer songs from his latest album Blue Electric Light.
At the heart of what success means to him, Kravitz explained in a recent interview that it's "just doing the work, it's making the art", and that your personality is what defines you not the awards and hits. Given his years of success and millions of fans, this personal approach of his certainly shines through.
Luxembourg can look forward to a powerful live performance full of character.
