17 November 2023, Rhineland-Palatinate, Trier: A memorial plaque for one of the victims of the rampage on December 1, 2020 is embedded in the pavement near the Porta Nigra (back l) for presentation. The memorial plaques were designed by Trier artist Guy Charlier in close consultation with the bereaved and will be permanently installed in the next few days at the five locations in the pedestrian zone where people were killed by the driver of the amok. The plaques and lighting will be laid in prepared places in the pavement.
