Police reported the 500 kilogram bomb was secured on Monday and will be disposed of on Tuesday.

The disposal is set to cause disruption to train schedules as all trains will be interrupted while the bomb is defused. It will also affect airspace and ship traffic.

On Monday evening officers installed a 500 metre security perimeter, which resulted in the evacuation of 15 local residents, a retirement home and the German RTL and ntv building.

Those affected had to leave the area from 9am on Tuesday morning.
