Our daily summary lists all the key Covid-19 developments in Luxembourg and around the world.
In Luxembourg

- The Ministry of Health issued a reminder of the new regulations on their social media. The new Covid law came into effect yesterday.
- A rumour has been circulating on social media that the “Elztalhotel” in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, would not allow guests from Luxembourg on their premises, even if they were in possession of a negative test.
And around the world
- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to roll out a £10 million anti-obesity campaign, including junk food advert bans, following his own brush with death that he partly blamed on his weight.
Passengers arriving from Spain will have to self-isolate for two weeks, the UK government has said, in a move that has reportedly caught out transport minister Grant Shapps who is holidaying in the country.
Hong Kong will stop most ships from changing crews in the territory from Wednesday to cut back on quarantine exemptions blamed for causing a third wave of coronavirus cases. After seemingly ending local transmissions for weeks, new infections have hit triple figures on a daily basis in the densely packed finance hub -- sparking fears the new outbreak is spreading out of control.
- North Korea declared its first suspected coronavirus case on Sunday, becoming one of the last countries to do so as the number of people infected worldwide passed 16 million. Authorities locked down the city of Kaesong, near the frontier with South Korea, as state media said a defector who left for the South three years ago had returned and was suspected to be infected with the coronavirus.
- In the world of sport, Wimbledon champion and world number two Simona Halep announced Sunday that she will not compete in the Palermo WTA event, which will mark the season’s resumption after a five-month coronavirus suspension, due to fears over the virus.
- In contrast, Marouane Fellaini, who spent three weeks in hospital with coronavirus, scored a hat-trick of headers in less than 10 minutes to give Shandong Luneng a 3-2 victory over Rafa Benitez’s Dalian Pro in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
