“The Lamborghini raced into a tree and immediately caught fire after the crash”, the deputy director of the fire and rescue corps from Meurthe-et-Moselle announced. Emergency services were too late to rescue the driver from the vehicle engulfed in flames.
Given that there were no witnesses present at the time of the accident, the cause remains unknown at this stage. By the time firefighters arrived, the driver’s body was already burned. No second person was in the vehicle.
After the accident, the D156 was closed off for traffic to allow crime scene investigators to secure any potential evidence and recover the body from the car.
