An Alaska Air aircraft landing in Yakutat Saturday evening hit a bear that was on the runway. All 124 passengers onboard and crew were safe, but the Boeing 737’s left engine took quite a hit.
Yakutat, a village in southern Alaska, is shut off from the outside world and is connected by any roads.
