The video shows the pig being tied to a pole and carried to the top of a tower by two men, before being pushed off a ledge. Park officials said the stunt was a publicity stunt to mark the opening of the new bungee attraction.
According to some reports, the pig was sent to a slaughterhouse following the stunt. Online reactions to the stunt have been far from positive, the the point where the park has issued a statement saying they sincerely accept the online criticism they have received, and that they will “improve their marketing”.
Animal cruelty is not punishable by law in China.
