A young man from Florange rented a Maserati for his wedding day but the joy of riding the expensive car was short-lived. The groom crashed the rental car near the Géric roundabout.
The 25-year-old hoped to make one of the most memorable days of his life even more special by renting a Maserati. He will not, however, drive the car of his dreams on his wedding day after crashing into a dividing wall on rue de Longwy in Thionville.
His blood alcohol levels also exceeded the legal maximum. Police fined the driver, who will also not get back the hefty deposit he had to shell out for the rental car.
