Three different kinds of attestations have been put online by the government: one for travels from abroad towards the mainland, one for travels from abroad towards Overseas France, and one for travels from the mainland regions to the ones overseas.
People circulating between the French territories will be submitted to sanitary controls and put under quarantine if necessary.
The permits by the authorities are divided further into national citizens, members of the European Union, and foreigners.
Those in possession of a French passport will not need explain their reason for travelling to their home country. For all others, only a selection of justifications, as for instance the fight against Covid-19, can be enlisted to receive a travel certification.
