ISRAEL HAMAS WAR - Western leaders are calling on Israel to respect international humanitarian law, as it continues to launch airstrikes in Gaza. US President Biden also demanded that Hamas release the hostages taken during its attack on Israel about two weeks ago, which sparked the conflict and left 1400 people dead. 37 lorries were allowed into the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing over the weekend, which the UN called a small glimmer of hope. SWITZERLAND ELECTIONS - Parliamentary elections took place in Switzerland yesterday and looks set to shift to the right, as concerns about immigration trumped fears about climate change and melting glaciers. It was not a risky bet, however -- the book is already topping the pre-sale chart at Amazon US. It is being released on Tuesday in around 20 countries and 10 languages.
