PolandDramatic video shows woman ramming vehicle into petrol station

Police at the scene fired shots at the car, as the 37-year old women repeatedly smashed into the store. The incident took place around midnight on Saturday in Rymań, West Pomerania.

The video footage shows the moment when the woman reverses out of the petrol station store, before rushing forward again. Local media report that policemen were present and tried to take control of the situation.

In the recording, posted on Facebook, bystanders can be heard shouting “Leave the car, shoot the tires!” After shots can be heard firing at the vehicle, someone shouts “don’t shoot at the driver!”

An officer is then seen approaching the vehicle, with his firearm drawn. He appears to use the weapon to try and break the glass of a side window. The driver accelerates, avoiding a police car and returning to the road.

According to information obtained by polsatnews.pl, after the incident the woman reported herself to a police station in Koszalin. She was detained and taken to the police station in the town of Kołobrzeg (formerly Kolberg).

The woman was not under the influence of alcohol, while blood tests to determine if she was under the influence of drugs are pending.
