
[block type="summary”]The petition to keep Luxembourg’s schools closed until September has received enough signatures to be debated in the Chamber of Deputies. There is, however, one key problem: schools are set to reopen in May but the petition only closes on 6 June.
After six weeks stuck at home, Spain’s children were allowed out Sunday to run, play or go for a walk as the government eased one of the world’s toughest coronavirus lockdowns.
Italian schools will remain closed until September, said PM Giuseppe Conte in an interview with the newspaper La Repubblica. However, economic activities must be resumed as quickly as possible, especially producing and exporting sectors.

Boris Johnson will return to work at the start of the week as pressure increases on the UK government over its handling of the coronavirus crisis which has claimed more than 20,000 lives. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab resisted growing calls for the government to relax strict social distancing rules and said they would “be with us for some time”.
