The human remains were found in Dalhain, which is located halfway between Metz and Strasbourg. According to France Bleu, the case is particularly curious due to the depth in which the body was buried.
Experts from the gendarmerie, as well as from Germany were called to the scene to investigate the incident.
Due to the decomposed state of the human remains, it has not yet been possible to identify the person.
A full investigation has been launched by the Metz prosecutor’s office.
