According to Business Insider, there is a video showing Charles not shaking Pence’s hand.
The clip of him greeting everyone but Pence went viral, with 5 million people viewing the video (see below).
Royal officials said the two skipped a handshake because they met minutes before the video was taken.
A Buckingham Palace official has denied this was a snub, telling the BBC that the prince and Mr Pence had a “long and warm conversation” before the ceremony began.
The video was taken in Jerusalem at an event marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
