The motorway reopened around 10am. Traffic is now restored on the A31 in both directions, just across the Luxembourg border. There is still some disruption on the N52 on the border between France and Belgium. Motorists were stuck for around three hours due to a demonstration organised by French Armenians wishing to draw attention to the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The demonstration began at 7am and should have ended at 8am, but protesters remained as they wanted to express their grievances to the journalists present. A large banner was spread across the road and a number of vehicles were used to block both lanes in the direction of Metz-Luxembourg.

The N52 road between Longwy and Belgium is also seeing disruption.
